Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Grandpa's Boatshed is located in one of the most exclusive and beautiful streets in Robe. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, the cottage is nestled in amongst native flora with abundant native birdlife and fauna, often with a cheeky wallaby or kangaroo deciding to pay an early morning visit in the wee hours.

A peaceful and tranquil spot which is perfect for relaxing; to hang out in the hammock or the swing chair with a good book. Close enough to the action in the centre of town, but far enough away, to totally chill out.

Friendly neighbours will make you feel welcome, and more than likely, invite you to share morning or afternoon tea or an evening drinkie.

An easy ten minute stroll into town to great restaurants, pubs, cafes and cinema.

A five minute walk from Grandpa's Boatshed in the other direction down a bush track, will take you to a secluded outlet where the fresh water flows out to meet the ocean and the breathtaking and renowned Long Beach. Stunning bush walking tracks lead to secluded beaches, with other activities available; golfing, bike riding, 4 wheel driving through the sand dunes - there is to much to see and do in this beautiful little destination village.
