Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is on ten acres with panoramic views of the Mt Lofty Ranges, vineyards of Willunga basin and township of McLaren Vale. Adelaide is a fourty-five minute drive by car along the Southern Expressway or a little longer by train from Noarlunga. Buses also leave from McLaren Vale or Seaford. McLaren Vale village is two kilometres away by road and Seaford a further eight kilometres. Being at the heart of the Southern Vales wine district the village is a very popular tourist destination. Within a forty kilometre radius there are approximately sixty boutique wineries, most of them with cellar door outlets, allowing customers to sample and purchase wines. To the West along the valley we can view the ocean. Excellent surfing beaches along the coast are only ten minutes away by car. From McLaren Vale we can walk or cycle to Willunga or Seaford along specially prepared trails.
Fleurieu Peninsula extends from Adelaide as far South as Cape Jervis and Victor Harbour. A fourty minute drive to the South coast. A ferry travels daily from Cape Jervis to Kangaroo Island, another popular tourist destination. Deep Creek conservation park is on the south coast between Cape Jervis and Victor Harbour. Goolwa is located near the Murray River mouth. Between Goolwa and Victor harbour are several popular surfing beaches. Whales can be seen at times from certain vantage points along that coastline. There are numerous tourist attractions spread throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula and is ideal for a day trip or short stay.
Our property is undeveloped, but has been cleared of unwanted vegetation. Sufficient native vegetation remains as home for a variey of fauna and flora. Several kangaroos, foxes and rabbits roam freely. Approximately thirty different types of birds have been seen on the property. frequent large flocks of parrots, corellas, rosella as well as white and black cockatoos visit the surrounding vines and fruit trees. Every morning we awake to the sound of magpies, parrots or kookaburras.
