We really enjoyed staying in Leo & Helen’s lovely home. Open communication made organisation extremely easy. Their home was very handy to the central business district of Ballarat, plus with the total convenience of a supermarket within minutes of their doorstep. The back garden to the property was a quiet sanctuary & feeding the colourful lorikeets & parrots visiting the garden was an unexpected delight. Ballarat has history, beautiful architecture, & wonderful botanical gardens. The car exchange meant we were also able to explore further afield and discovered country Victoria offers lots of interesting towns to explore, each with its separate identity.

Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Ballarat is a large and cultured regional city built on a rich history surrounding the Gold Fields.
We are located in one of Ballarat's most desired and exclusive pockets, with the Lake Wendouree foreshore at the end of our street, and several cafes and restaurants just around the corner. Our architecturally designed home is on the city side of the lake and only a 1.5k stroll to the Ballarat CBD for shopping, more restaurants and cafes, our famed Regional Art Gallery and multi-cinema. The train station is also in the CBD for easy access to Melbourne in just over 1.5 hours.
A shuttle bus from Tullamarine Airport to Ballarat Railway station runs every few hours.
With beaches and mountains including the world-famous Great Ocean Road only a 1-hour drive, 2 weeks will not be enough to see everything!
Our delightful home is fully equipped including central heating, aircon and high-speed Internet.
We welcome all enquiries for 2024-5 for Australia, New Zealand and Europe and Canada.

Our house is located in a quiet residential area of a large regional city. Our beautiful Lake Wendouree is at the end of the street and we are only a 15 minute walk to the Ballarat Central Business District.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Our home is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the CBD where the train station is located.
The world famous Sovereign Hill, the Botanical Gardens and the Art Gallery attract an enormous amount of visitors
A 1 hour drive will take you to the Great Ocean Road, other beaches or mountains and Melbourne by train. There are plenty of wineries nearby and native wildlife is easy to find.
