My husband Derek and I live in this home. We are both retired, Derek from the Defence Forces and me as secretary in my local school Our adult children live away from home but visit often. Phoebe our dog lives with us but will not be here when you visit! Octo, our cat, will need weekly feeding. She lives outdoors and won't disturb you.
We live in a rural area approx 2 km from town of Carlow town in the South East of Ireland- The Sunny South East!!
We are keen gardeners and love cooking, food and wine! Love to have people visit!
We grow a variety of our own food. We have a large vegetable plot , two poly tunnels and a glass house! We keep some hens so you will have fresh eggs every morning. I am very house proud so no worries about your property. We will look after it! I expect you will do the same to mine!
Carlow Golf Club is directly across the road from our house. Local fresh water fishing, hiking, beaches, and lots more to do in this area. A great base for exploring my beautiful country.
We are open to long and short exchanges, Winter and Summer. Anywhere, anytime, we'll give anything a go!!

Our home is a dormer bungalow with 4 bedroom, 1 en suite, 2 other bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs,
Main bathroom/shower upstairs and downstairs bathroom, Kitchen diner, living room, hobby/computer room downstairs also.
Patio area for outdoor dining ( if it's not raining!) House sleeps 5/6( 4 double rooms)
Lots of space to sit and relax in the garden or do a spot of weeding if you feel you must!!!

We are in the country. Our plot is 1 acre of veg garden, Lawn, orchard and flower beds. Lots of friendly neighbours.
You must drive to shop ( 2 mins for essentials 5 mins for everything else).
There is a local bus service to town which runs every 30 minutes. The bus stop is about a 10 minute walk from our house.

Carlow town is 3km away. You need a car. However, there is a local town bus service very close by.
We live in the SE of Ireland, The Sunny South East! It’s a one hour drive from Dublin Airport mostly all motorway. Very east to visit Medieval City of Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford- fabulous beaches, Wicklow- the Garden of Ireland. Further afield on the west coast is Galway, Mayo- Achill Island, Clare- the Cliffs of Moher. Lots to see and do!
