They were very generous hosts, providing a comfortable area to be independent if we wished, but also very thoughtful and hospitable. Newcastle was a perfect location to visit the Black Hills of South Dakota and also some exciting places in Wyoming. Beautiful, Bungalow style historic home is located in a beautiful neighborhood close to downtown with friendly neighbors. The Black Hills is amazing in the spring, summer, fall, and winter. This beautiful home provides easy access to all the amenities of Rapid City's downtown--coffee shops, restaurants, wineries, breweries, bars, and shops. Three bedrooms +, two baths +, modern kitchen, large living and dining spaces while being beautifully comfortable. Perfect for couples or families. My home is ready to be your home away from home.
This quiet home is an hour or less away from Sturgis, SD (home of the world famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally); Deadwood, SD (gambling and historic district, Wild Bill Hickock buried there); Mount Rushmore; Crazy Horse; Devil's Tower Monument; Badlands National Park; fresh hot springs; a mammoth dig site; lakes; streams; and many other attractions.

We live in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood near a park with wonderful neighbors! Just minutes away from downtown Rapid City, but also close to several nice outdoor areas and hiking trails very near town. Our house is the perfect home-base for trips all around the Black Hills of Wyoming and South Dakota.

Rapid City is the heart of the Black Hills, an area with outdoor attractions and cultural events. There is Sturgis, South Dakota; Deadwood, South Dakota; Custer, South Dakota; Hill City, South Dakota; and Wyoming. There are so many attractions: Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Mammoth Site, Hot Springs, Badlands, Devil's Tower, Mickelson Trail, Harney Peak, Custer State Park, hiking, biking, swimming...all within minutes to two hours of our home. There is so much to see and do all year.
