Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our home is 6 years old, 3 bedrooms, ( 1 bedroom used as office)1 ensuite and 1 bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. A very modern kitchen/diner and a cosy sitting room with log burner, and a separate formal dining room. Also a separate utility room. There is also underfloor heating to the downstairs with central heating radiators upstairs. Front and rear gardens, double garage, plus parking.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our village of Iwerne Minster is typical of a rural English village, normally quiet and peaceful. The village has a local shop and post office, a pub, a 12th century church and a private school with leisure centre open to the public. There is a bus route to neighbouring towns. Our village is situated in rural North Dorset in an area known as The Blackmore Vale. It has been designated an "area of outstanding natural beauty". The scenery is truly spectacular. Every thing in the village that you need can be accessed on foot. The seaside towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth is about a 40 min drive away as is the market town of Dorchester. A 20 min drive will take you to the local railway station for a 2 hour train ride into London.

An hours car ride in various directions can get you to, Bath, a lovely city with superb shopping, World renowned Stonehenge, Salisbury, which has the tallest cathedral spire in England, Southampton and Portsmouth, maritime port and sailing cities. Dorchester, the county town of Dorset with its weekly market. Bournemouth and Weymouth, seaside holiday resorts. Plus many more places of interest. Don't forget the beautiful New Forest.
