The restaurants and bars are lively in the evening but otherwise it's amazingly calm and quiet for such a central location. The gardens, the paths by the river and the riverboat which stops just below us mean that you can walk/bike/rollerblade to many places without crossing the road.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The apartment is right on the river. You can walk along the bank to the Tate Britain Art Gallery, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, the Southbank (including Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery and the National Theatre) and then on to St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern Gallery and the Tower of London. Then you can come back by regular Riverboat, directly to St George Wharf, which the apartment's balcony overlooks.

The apartment is on the 6th floor with a balcony, so not suitable for children or pets, although there are gardens below and traffic-free pathways by the river. We do have a car we can offer, but parking is expensive in London and a car is not necessary.
