We are a family of four. Tristan is 10 and Elsa 8. I am a university lecturer and Daniel is a computer scientist.
We are looking for a 2 -3 week house exchange in August this year .
As Daniel is from Reunion Island, we are always interested in an exchange there.
We are not new to house exchange, I started when I was ten, every year we would go to an English-speaking country that way ( my mother used to be an English teacher), our last exchange was in Spain 3 years ago.

In the run-up to and during the stay we had friendly, funny exchanges via messenger and email. Thanks also for the conversation in English, as unfortunately we are very bad at French! When we exchanged keys in Bordeaux, we were able to see each other briefly and had the most important things about the uncomplicated young cat Yuki explained to us. The family are experienced home swappers. Everything is well organized. The house is in a very nice residential area with small, detached houses and gardens, bright, friendly, quiet. There is a great bakery around the corner (not only croissants, baguettes, cannelés bordolais .., but also various darker types of bread) and for the essentials there is also a small shop and a post office. On Saturday mornings there is even a small market right around the corner (fish, meat, cheese, baked goods, fruit and vegetables). The cottage is perfectly located to explore the spacious metropolis of Bordeaux. The tram is a 5 minute walk away. And if you want to drive to the beaches of the Atlantic, you can quickly get to the exit roads. In less than an hour you are on guarded beaches. Many Thanks. We enjoyed it very much!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We are a family of four : Sophie, Daniel, Tristan (10 yo) and Elsa( 8yo). We'd love to go to a child-friendly city next summer.
We moved into this 90m2 semi-detached house in 2018. It has been entirely renovated by an architect to make the most of the available space. It has 3 bedrooms (one ensuite). It's perfect for a family with young children as there are lots of toys to play with.
Our house is in Merignac, so you'll be very close to the airport (15 mn by car/ 40 mn by public transport); to Bordeaux city centre (15 mn by public transport) ; and will have easy access to the beach ( 45mn by car). In Bordeaux there's something for everyone, you'll have plenty to do.
