The house is big, cozy and clean with a nice backyard. Location is great, only 2 min walking to all restaurants and stores. There are lots of different restaurants, and all that we tried were great! However, the street is very quiet and peaceful. We loved the neighborhood so much, that we would move to such place if it was in the US. Vancouver is a must visit city with tons of things to see and try. We feel like 1 week is not enough to explore the city and surroundings because there are even more places to visit within 1-2 hours drive.

Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our home is a half-duplex on 3 levels, close to the multi-cultural Commercial Drive, yet quiet, with a peaceful backyard.
We are a 20 minute drive from Stanley, 30 minutes to Grouse Mountain, 40 minutes to Cypress Mountain and 1h 20min to Whistler.
There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and an ensuite with a shower. The 2nd bedroom on this level contains a double futon and has direct access to the 2nd bathroom.
The 3rd floor is a lovely loft which we also use as a double bedroom; it has a balcony with mountains view.
The main floor is an open-space living room, dining room and kitchen with access through French doors to the backyard. In the summer time, the backyard patio is an ideal place to serve lunch or a barbecue dinner.
Commercial Drive, 150m away, has lots of restaurants and ethnic shops, see pictures.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

We have a teen girl in our house who may join us in our exchanges occasionally. We welcome hosting youths at our place, and are open to doing youth exchanges with our teen. Feel free to inquire about this.
We own a small, friendly dog but may be taken to a friend to be dog-sitted for the time away. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are reasonably trained and behaved. We prefer no cats though.
