We thoroughly enjoyed Chris's villa. It was quiet,clean, tidy and very comfortable. Public transport into Perth by both bus and train were close. Our train continued onto Fremantle without changing which was a bonus. We walked into Perth along the river on the first day as far as the free bus. Victoria Gardens area is lovely. There is also a pleasant walk around the penisula area that Maylands is on. We stopped for a drink at the golf club on the way back. There is also a lovely tea house on the river for coffee during the morning walk. The Swan Valley is 30 mins away and a very easy circuit drive for outstanding wines, cheese and coffee. Fremantle, with its rich maritime history and busy waterfront,is an easy train ride. Kings Park is a must; fabulous views. We had two nights away in the Margaret River which was very enjoyable. So much food and wine. Western Australians are so friendly and helpful to visitors. Must be the laid back lifestyle! We didn't meet Chris and his guest as this was a simultaneous exchange but correspondence was good. They left our place exactly how they found it.
