Flagstaff sits at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, at an altitude of 7,200 feet. We experience all four seasons, from a temperate spring and summer, to a beautiful autumn, and a snowy winter. Skiers, snowboarders and snow players will enjoy the Arizona Snow Bowl, approximately 20 miles from Flagstaff. Flagstaff offers visitors an array of entertainment, including festivals, concerts, art walks, live theater, movies, great restaurants, public ice skating rink, hiking, biking, beautiful parks, walking paths, and more. Northern Arizona University is within the heart of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon is located 75 miles from Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, 30 miles away, offers visitors a scenic train ride to and from the Canyon. Within a day's drive or less are Walnut Canyon National Park, Wupatki National Monument, Sedona, and the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. For boaters and water enthusiasts, Lake Powell in Page is 2 hours away.
