Robin and Barbara's home is an ideal base for exploring Shrewsbury, Shropshire and the Welsh borders. It's right in the heart of the most attractive part of town, only a few minutes' walk from the castle, parks and river as well as a great variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and other attractions. The house is elegant, spacious and welcoming and there's a beautiful walled garden for al fresco dining. Despite its central location, it is extremely quiet. We stayed for two weeks and had an excellent exchange in every way.

Shrewsbury is a charming and lively little town. Many thanks to Barbara and Robin for allowing us to stay in their elegant and very comfortable Victorian house, complete with a garden that made us green with envy. We were able to discover the green hills of Shropshire, its castles, its villages and its magnificent gardens (Not to mention the small tea rooms and lively pubs). We are going to miss the queen's jubilee but we were already in the mood.

Early Georgian town house located in the centre of the ancient county town of Shrewsbury. The house is conveniently located in a quiet residential street adjacent to the Market Hall and also a few minutes walk away from The Quarry Park and the river Severn.The house is Georgian in style and has elements dating back to the 16th Century and has a wonderful secluded garden and secure garage parking nearby.

Shrewsbury is 20 minutes from the Welsh Border and only a short drive away from the Shropshire Hills and the Welsh mountains. The World Heritage site of Ironbridge is only 30 minutes away by car and there are many National trust properties nearby. In the town there are excellent restaurants and public houses and a cinema located in an ancient corn house and a modern theatre overlooking the river Severn
