We are an Aus/Pome Family, English Girl met Aussie Boy and the long haul trips began, we have a beautiful house in Leigh on Sea/Essex (close to London) and we have been house swapping for a few years and are new members to this site - we are keen to hear from home owners in Queensland - as our kids are much older now, we make the big journey in July/AUG, so we're chasing the sun.. We swapped our house and car last time and that was very successful - we also have a dog and a cat, so happy to discuss pet sitting in with a swap, but it's not essential either way. Look forward to hearing from members who want to explore the UK/London & Europe (our local airport is 5mins away and you can fly to Amsterdam quicker than commuting to the other side of London!) Aussies love that! x

Leigh on Sea is a very sought after area, as we are a 45 min commute from London/Tower Hill - Old Leigh dates back to the 15th Century and still a working fishing village - Leigh is packed with cafes, restaurants and lots of lovely walks.

Leigh on Sea is a vibrant town, with Old Leigh only a 10 minute walk away, which has various festivals through the Summer - there is a small theme park in Southend if you have younger children and as a commuter town, an easy commute into London - the train goes into Fenchurch St, which is behind The Tower of London..
