We had a wonderful time in Jamie and Ros's beautiful home in Cromford, Derbyshire. It is very well situated to visit some of the interesting towns around the Peak District. Their house is extremely comfortable and has spectacular views from the back garden over the valley. It was so pleasant to sit in the garden after a hard day's sight seeing with a glass of wine and just enjoy it. They were very easy to communicate with and we had a great exchange. We would highly recommend Jamie and Ros's home to anyone looking for a Peak District house swap.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

From our drive there is access to many walks. The local area is well served with cafes, pubs and restaurants in the village which is a short walk away. It is also at the heart of Industrial history where there are several old mills and canals to see. There are a number of stately homes including Chatsworth House, one of the best known in England which has beautiful gardens and walks. The famous Alton Towers theme park is an hour's drive away and the cities of Derby and Nottingham are easy to reach either by car or train. Also close are the towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton, renowned for its Opera House. We are on the edge of the Peak District and its National Park.
