Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Exchange organised for summer 2020.
Our home is in a tree lined street within a short taxi or bus ride of the city centre (or a twenty-five minute walk). There are several cafes, bars and restaurants and small shops within five minutes walk of our house. Our home has three double bedrooms and a small single bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and family bathroom. There is a patio area at the back of the house with outdoor seating and table.
Belfast is about an hour and a half drive from Dublin and there are also frequent bus and train services if you prefer not to drive.
We also have a holiday home in Westport, Co. Mayo which you are welcome to use if you would like to explore the west of Ireland (see our other listing).

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our house is just off the Ormeau Road which has a wealth of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as a small gallery and shops. Our favourite restaurant is L'Etoile, a little French restaurant with great food and you bring your own beer/wine. Round the corner is Ormeau park a Victorian park which was first opened to the public in 1871. It's open each day from 7.30am and is a great place to take a stroll or enjoy some of the many events which take place there throughout the year. At the end of our street you can catch a bus into the city centre (they run every few minutes) to enjoy the sights of Belfast on foot or take one of the sightseeing bus tours.
