Emlyn and I are both in our 60s. Emlyn is a retired newspaper editor but works p/t as a support worker for adults with learning difficulties and I am a p/t office admin assistant. We are an active couple who love hiking and exploring the UK; we have grandchildren that keeps us young at heart. We have had experience with home exchange many years ago and have only just got back into it this year after upgrading our house over the years. For this year we would like to exchange in the UK only, maybe further afield next year.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Looking to swap for long weekends and a week in October 2018, UK only
Our home is a cosy spacious semi-detached bungalow on a quiet estate set in a small historic coastal market town of Abergele in the county of Conwy.
We have good access to Snowdonia, Anglesey and the North Wales coast which is excellent for walking, touring and visiting the magnificent beaches!
Our bungalow is within walking distance of the town which consists of shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
We have two good sized bedrooms, lounge, kitchen diner, conservatory, shower room with basin and wc. Upstairs we have a spacious dormer room which has a lovely roll top bath and separate wc . We can put a fold up bed in here if need be. We also have a guest bed which pulls out from underneath our single bed in the second bedroom which can accommodate two adults or two children. A travel cot is also available!
Our kitchen is well equipped with domestic appliances such as kettle, microwave, cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer. We have TV's a hi-fi and good connection Wifi.
We have good off-road parking and a sunny private back garden with a secure access to a small public park area which is ideal for dogs. There is also a small summerhouse which is ideal for a quiet read and a glass of wine!

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
North Wales is very scenic and full of interesting and historic places to visit such as Conwy Castle. Abergele has its own historical Gwrych Castle which is only a 20 minute walk from our home.
Also there is an abundance of walking areas in North Wales such as the Snowdonia National Park, Offa's Dyke and the coast of Anglesey. We have a wide range of walking books and OS maps for the whole of North Wales.
Recently North Wales has become a mecca for thrill seekers with a series of new attractions for the younger at heart - Zip-World Betheda, Zip World Titan Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bounce Below, Surf Snowdonia and Treetop Adventures high ropes are all within a hour's drive from our home.
More traditional attractions close by include Penrhyn Castle, Welsh Highland Railway and the historic town of Caernarfon with it's magnificent castle to name a few!
LLandudno is definitely worth a visit, it has an immaculate seafront gracefully framed by two headlands. Llandudno has the longest pier in Wales, a blue flag beach, an excellent theatre, cable car and tram up to The Great Orme, great golf courses, amazing restaurants and lots of outdoor activities.
