Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We are Marina and Alberto, a family of two from Barcelona and Madrid. We have just moved a few months ago to our new and lovely home, a 140 sq m flat in the centre of Madrid. The house has been totally refurbished, as you can see in the pictures, and Marina has been in charge of decorating it with a very personal touch. We love midcentury and sixties furniture and design, so our home is aplenty of groovy details. Music, books and cinema are our passions, as showed in the decoration of our big and bright living room: tv (with chromecast for streaming), record player, a big sofa, wood table for six, iconic design chairs. We love cooking, so the flat has a very big kitchen totally equipped for foodies and families: big fridge, larder, two sinks, oven, glass ceramic hob, complete kitchen ware, a big table, etc. There are three rooms, once suite with bathroom inside and king size bed, another with a double bed, and the third with a comfortable sofa bed for two. Beside the in suite bathroom, there is another one. The flat has as well a balcony with a table and two chairs, overlooking the Retiro park, the biggest and most important park in Madrid.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood has all the advantages of living in the city centre, and none of its disadvantages. In a short walk you can reach all the sightseeing musts (15 min waks to Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen museums) and the nightlife quarters, but at the same time we live in a quite part of town, so at night you barely will notice any noise. Regarding tranports, in a 10 min walk you reach Atocha train station, where trains to Barcelona, Toledo, Sevilla, etc... depart. You can find supermarkets, grocery shops, restaurants (best Italian restaurant in Madrid by the way is just close to our home), bars and everything you need at hand.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The list would be too long to enumerate. All biggest Madrid museums are at a walking distance (20-25 min) from our home: Museo del Prado, Reina Sofía, Museo Thyssen, Museo Arqueológico Nacional... Also the historic quarter of Barrio de las Letras, full of restaurants and nightlife, is pretty close, and the groovy Lavapies neighbourhood.
