Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our house is placed in the center of the village of La Garriga, north from Barcelona, with easy links with the town by railway and motorway. The village has 15000 inhabitants. It has all services, including a swimming pool and a thermal spa. The village has been a residential area from the beginning of the XX century, and is plenty of modernist houses. The local feast of the village is scheduled for early August.

The coast is reached by car in half one hour. Beaches in Mataro and Arenys are quite beautiful, and to attain the Costa Brava coast needs only one hour and a half by car. Similarly, the Pyrenees may be reached easily for a visit.
