Our family home (3 bedrooms, private garden with plenty of sunshine and a trampoline) is situated in a quiet neighbourhood just North of the city centre (a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minutes by public transport).
It is convenient for public transport, shops (2 supermarkets and the local bakery within walking distance) and restaurants. Utrecht is a charming city with a beautiful historic centre with plenty to do and see for all interests and ages. It is also very easy to escape the city to the greener and more rural surroundings for walks and bike rides. Utrecht is located in the centre of The Netherlands, making it a convenient starting point for day trips to other places in The Netherlands either by car or by the excellent Dutch public transport. For example, Amsterdam is 30 minutes away, Rotterdam and The Hague about 45 minutes and you can even get to the beach within an hour.
