We, a family consisting of two cats (age unknown), two children (born in 2011 and 2013) and two adults, live in Amsterdam, not far from the city center (10 mins). We have attempted to leave as much of our 1930s home in tact and in style which means we have many old pieces lying and standing around (furniture, glass, a few stuffed animals) and use the 1930s kitchen (we did add a fridge and a dishwasher). Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is quiet and green, yet near to the city centre. The houses date back to the period of the late 19th century until the 1930s. The science campus of the University of Amsterdam is situated nearby, as are many parks (Frankendael, Flevopark, Oosterpark). The area consists of various good restaurants and many cafés.
