Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our apartment has three bedrooms, a large living room, a kitchen with balcony, two bathrooms and a small terrace. It's quiet, recently renovated and very bright. It's on the fourth floor of an elegant 1930s building. It's a 2-minute walk from the Colosseum and very well connected for public transport. There's a metro stop by the Colosseum (B line) and if you walk 10 mins you get on the other metro line (A line).

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The apartment is near the end of a quiet residential street which stops at the foot of an ancient convent. Just round the corner there are shops and restaurants. There are two small parks nearby: the beautiful Villa Celimontana and Colle Oppio, where you can visit Nero's ancient palace (Domus aurea). To get to Piazza Venezia, famous for the Altar of the Fatherland monument (known by tourists as the 'Wedding Cake'), you can either take a bus from Via Labicana (3 mins away) or walk past the Colosseum and along the wide boulevard that Mussolini built on top of the ancient Roman forums (it takes about 20 mins). There are several rent-a-bike options in the neighborhood and also Segways, if that's your thing. It's within easy reach of the main train station (Termini) and you're well positioned to get to the airport. There's also a taxi rank nearby.
