I am an expert in research management and innovation, founder of the worldwide famous Genova Science Festival and more recently of the Genova Makers' Village. I am now retired and dedicate more time to hobbies like ceramics and singing. I have two sons Giovanni (1988) shipbroker in London and Pietro (1991) who got the Degree in Management Psychology. We are part of a large family (my sister's and my mother's homes are downstairs) which is completed by Gatto, a nice white siamese.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
It is located in the hearth of the cozy village of Bonassola, in the Eastern Ligurian riviera, close to the 5 Terre. Recently renovated, it is in a building of the XIth C. and it is really special with its small bridge to enter from the building in front. It has a large twin room, two beds in the sofa in central room, a nice fully equipped kitchen and peculiar bathroom.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Bonassola (SP) has a large pebble beach, and it is ideal for families because there is no traffic and children can safely go anywhere. During summer there are a lot of teen agers. It is a must to taste the local focaccia and vegetable quiches. At Aranci restaurant you can taste delicious mix of fried fish, at Perballe raw fish, Pizza at Guetta's and various cooking at Lungomare.
Don't miss a romantic walk to the Madonnina della Punta or a concert in Sant'Erasmo.
Storms are spectacular when libeccio wind is strong (from south-east) and tours can be arranged for wave-watching.
Getting around
In 5 to 15' you can reach the 5 Terre National Park by train (which is the suggested mean of transportation). In Levanto (the next railways stop) you can board on a ferry-boat to visit the 5Terre and Portovenere by the sea. Genova is 80km far and by train you can easily reach it, La Spezia and Pisa.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
Since I always use the apt. it is well equipped (with a lot of handmade ceramics!) and I leave some space in the furnitures for the guests, who are invited to take care of it as it was their own...
All consumables are available: if you finish something (e.g. coffee or shampoo) please replace it so that the followers can have it also.
I am a very precise and clean housekeeper, so I ask my guests to leave it clean enough.
