Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The townhouse is in Oranmore village, a quaint coastal village with fantastic restaurants and pubs, all within walking distance of the property. The village also had several supermarkets, a library, bank, etc. Oranmore village is approx. 12km from Galway city, designated European Capital of Culture for 2020. The location of this property would an ideal base from which to explore the wild atlantic way, located all along the coast of the west of Ireland, down to County Clare and the famous Burren or west into Connemara.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our property you call walk to local village of Oranmore, which has lots of award winning restautants and pubs, bakery shops, supermarkets, library, bank etc. Renvyle park and local golf club and sailing club are within a five minute drive from the property. Galway city with fantastic cultural and artistic events taking place all year round is a 15 minute drive by car or bus. A highlight on the cultural calendar in Galway is the Galway international arts festival which takes place in July each year. There is also a local train station in Oranmore village with regular services to Galway, Dublin and Limerick.
