Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our house was built in 1954 and renovated in 2008 to give it 140 square meters (1,500 square feet) of space. There is a large garden to the rere, 30 meters (100 feet) long, which is very private, and grows flowers and vegetables for the kitchen. Large glass panels in the windows and doors of the living room and kitchen give panoramic views of and access to the garden. There is a smaller garden at the front of the house with enough space to park two cars.
The house is located on a very quiet road with no traffic noise.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our house is located between the suburbs of Rathfarnham and Terenure, 5km (3 miles) south of Dublin city centre with a regular bus connection (15 minutes). The houses on Ballytore Road were built in the 1950s on the site of a former orchard. Our houses faces south, with good views of the Dublin mountains.
Rathfarnham and Terenure have a "village" feel with small shops, boutiques, pubs, restaurants and farmers' markets at weekends.
Terenure was built in the late 19th century while Rathfarnham is newer, with most houses built in the 1950s to 1970s.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Our house is an ideal base for visiting Ireland's capital and the mountains and coastline of Dublin and Wicklow. Rathfarnham has its own historic castle and four great parks, two of which are a short stroll from our house. We have listed local attractions in Rathfarnham and Terenure. Those in Dublin city centre and too numerous to mention.
