Our home is a bright, cosy south facing house with a beautiful garden of mature shrubs, and apple and pear trees - great just to hang out in and for children to play.
It is situated within sight of the Dublin mountains and a short bus or tram ride from the city centre. All amenities and services are within a short walk: Nutgrove Shopping Centre and the local shops at Churchtown Village. The Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin’s largest and most diverse shopping centre with its huge range of shops, restaurants and a cinema complex is a 15 minute walk.
Sports clubs and leisure facilities in the locality include Castle & Milltown Golf Clubs, Bushy Park and Marley Park with its playgrounds, tennis courts, sports grounds, organised runs and the fabulous weekend food market. We’re also close to lots of great villages including Rathfarnham with its historical Castle, Ranelagh and Rathmines for cafes, bookshops, a public swimming pool and library. Dun Laoghaire and the sea is a 20 minute drive for kayaking, sailing and swimming. If you like to cycle the countryside is just 15 minutes away with picturesque roads and flat or hilly routes as take your fancy.
The M50 is only a short drive away – it connects with the arterial road network and Dublin Airport (a 30 minute drive).
The location of our home allows for quick access to all parts of Ireland and makes for an excellent base for day trips to Glendalough, Newgrange, Powerscourt, Wicklow Mountain walks. The historic cities of Kilkenny, Galway and Belfast are all within easy reach.
