Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Old (19th c.) renovated farmhouse with pond 300m: fishing, walks, horse & bike trails from house; in quiet hamlet. Seaside resort of Pornic 5km (pop.15000)). It has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 1st floor. On the ground floor there are a bedroom, a bathroom, a dining room and kitchen and a living room. Next to the living room, a sort of study/library can be used as a bedroom. There are toilets in both bathrooms.
There are a barbecue and a plancha on the terrace that gives on a huge garden surrounded by fields and path.
Distances by car:
Beaches: 5-10 km: 10 minutes
Nantes (600 000 inhabitants): 45km-55 minutes
Paris 450 km-4h45 (TGV station in Nantes: by train, Nantes-Paris takes 2h10)
Poitiers' Futuroscope leisure park: 200 km-2h15
Mont-Saint-Michel UNESCO classified monument: 160km, 1h40
Saumur vineyards and caves:170 km, 1h45
Loire valley castles (UNESCO): depending on choice, from 120 km to 350 km, highway.

The house is part of twelve-family hamlet, in the middle of the fields, 300 meters from a small lake.
It is at the end of a dend-end road, 5 km away from the seaside resort of Pornic.
We know our neighbors, and though they mostly don't speak english, they will be glad to give a hand if necessary.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The pond is 200m away, with plenty of wildlife : you can spot dozens of species of birds, especially during migration times. You'll see "ragondins" (close to beavers, a bit smaller), rabbits, martens, deers and foxes are hard to spot but we have some.
The harbor of Pornic (10 minutes) is a place you don't want to miss!
Casino, restaurants, strawberry sherbet (locally made) shop, cafes on the harbor, walkpath, castle, carousel, narrow streets to discover by foot, leading to the church, panorama,...Spend an afternoon there!
You can pick your own strawberries 10 minutes away. They are 4 euros a kg, eat as many as you like while picking.
