This duplex apartment is few steps away from Le Louvre, Les Halles and Pont Neuf at the very center of Paris. It is located on Rivoli street, on the 3rd floor (without lift), composed of a living room and a study with a double sofa bed in each, a bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen includes a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a microwave. I am an architect and I arranged this apartment myself, combining old and modern style. I would be pleased to welcome you in my apartment and offer you a "typical parisian" place to stay!

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
My apartment is in the very center of Paris, the greatest museums and site-seeing venues in the city (Louvre, Orsay, Pompidou center, Notre Dame, Quartier Latin...) are accessible by foot. The subway station "Châtelet", which is the big hug of Paris, is 5 minutes walk. Versailles Castle is also easy to reach.
The neighbourhood is quite busy during the day but very calm in the evening. Night restaurants and bars are not far but not at the foot of the house! Supermarkets (also a Bio one) and french bakery are 2 min walk.

Parisian theaters, operas and jazzclubs are 5-10 min walk from the house. You can also enjoy the cafés and nightclubs around.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
This apartment is the place where I live for 30 years. All my belongings are staying there, so it is very important to understand that is not an empty place and that you might be respectful to everything you will find. Among other things, I have plenty of books that you can read and flip through if you take care and replace them.
Children are welcome (I have myself a grandson) but there are 2 balconies and stairs that might be used with care, and 2 ladders in the bedroom downstairs that are NOT for use!
Smoking is permitted on the balcony but not inside the apartment.
I am allergic to animal hair, so please don't bring them with you.
I have some also some plants and would be gratefull, if you can take care of them.
