Young couple living in Montescudaio on the Tuscan coast.
I work as a winemaker in Bolgheri while Antonio owns a restaurant and farmhouse in Volterra. We are passionate about wine and travel.
Antonio is also a kite surfing and surfing instructor.
We have found the perfect place to live in the Tuscan countryside, among hills and maritime pines, just 10 minutes from the sea.
We are 40 minutes from Pisa where the closest airport is located. The airport is served by a railway line that connects to the seaside town of Cecina (10 minutes from us).

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
A charming 100m2 house on one level with garden - just 10 minutes from the sea!
The house is located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by magnificent green hills, overlooking the sea and the village of Montescudaio. The place is 20 minutes from the famous Bolgheri DOCG wine appellation (one of the most famous appellations in Italy).
The house is antique furnished , with modern comforts.
It is composed of a double bedroom, a second bedroom with sofa bed, two bathrooms (a bathtub and a shower), a dressing room, two wardrobes, a large living room (TV) with dining room, full open kitchen opening onto the living room (includes dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, hotplates, oven, Italian coffee maker, juice extractor, etc.)
Bed linen and bathroom linen are provided.
At the back of the house is the utility room with the washing machine.
Finally, it has a large garden with vegetable garden and fruit trees, and video projector for outdoor cinema sessions. A mini swimming pool for children can be installed on request.
Access to the house is via a lockable gate. Two parking spaces are included.
We also provide two bicycles.

Our charming little village of Montescudaio has everything you need to live peacefully: local shops with local products, restaurants and typical Tuscan cuisine, an artisanal gelateria, and a few wine estates covering the Montescudaio DOC appellation.
The view from our house covers the entire village. magical atmosphere in the evening when the lights are on.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Our house is 10 minutes from the sea, where it is possible to practice surfing and kite surfing (many schools are located on the coast, Antonio is himself an instructor).
It is also possible to go horseback riding, fishing, or take the ferry to visit the various islands (Elba, Capraia, Gorgona).
The main wine production area is 20 minutes away (Bolgheri) where you will find many estates which organize tours to visit the cellar and taste the wine.
The bicycle is the main rental method in Tuscany. The roads are lined with cyclists of all kinds. Very practical for getting around the Tuscan countryside.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
It is preferable to find our apartment neat and tidy when we get back, as you will find it at your arrival. A lot of cleaning products is available if need be.
During your stay, if you prefer, we can clean the house and water the plants because we have our secondary house nearby.
