We are a family of three. Me, my husband (Bo) and our 10-year-old son named Sebastian. I am working at a renewable energy sector and my husband is a special pedagogy at a nursing home for special needs. We love to travel, meet different people and experience many different cultures. Sometimes my mother is traveling with us, so then we will be a family of four. On driving trips within Europe we sometimes bring Molly with us, unless our exchange home doesn't allow a pet.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Beautiful big house in Aalborg - Denmark's happiest city.
A very bright house with large windows especially in the leaving room that's facing the garden. In spring and summer, it's nice to sit (inside or outside) and feel the Danish summer breeze, with the fragrance of the blooming flowers in our garden, the water running from the fountain and birds chirping. The closed and large garden makes it possible for you to sunbathe or just to have a picnic on the grass and feel free to use the grill and the patio in the yard. In winter, your kids can use the sled to slide down the slope or make a snow cave in the yard. Floor heating's everywhere in the house and fireplace in the living room warm the house and gives a hygge feeling. Help yourself out with some hot chocolate. This is how we hygge in Denmark.
Moreover, the kitchen is fully equipped, there are TVs in the living room and the main bedroom with Netflix (and many other channels) and Chrome and the 100Mbps internet can handle your gaming/youtube hobby.
Dog care is needed for our handy and quiet 10 y/o Labrador - Molly. Dogs are allowed (but no cats please, my husband is allergic to cats). But we can also put Molly at our tenants who rent our apt. next door if you don't prefer to have pets around.
Our house is located in the Northern Jutland, Denmark:
- 2 hours by car to Legoland in Billund
- 4 hours by car to Copenhagen
- 5 hours by car to Hamburg
- 30 mins by car to the ferry to Norway and Sweden.
Very convenient location!
We have 1 child and 1 adult bicycle to use.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Aalborg is a cozy and friendly city with a harbor, walking streets, museums, parks, waterparks, universities, shops, restaurants and cafes everywhere. You can feel the vibe of Denmark as one of the happiest countries in the world, in Aalborg. The people are very happy, friendly, relax and the 'hygge' atmosphere can easily be seen and felt everywhere....and in every way.
Our favorite restaurants are 1) Flammen. It offers a buffet for Saturday brunch or dinner every day. The special part is that they served 15-25 different kinds of meat, you name it! 2) Morten's Kro. A fine dining with the ex-Noma (#1 restaurant in the world) chef. 3) Jensen Bøfhus. Steak and Grill
