We are semi-retired former journalists who love experiencing new places. Our favourite locations tend to be somewhere along the ocean, but we're open to anything. We are looking forward to some longer stays that may afford us some creative time to write books (her) and music (him), but then again, who has time when there are amazing places to explore? We also enjoy long-distance walks and hikes, visiting local markets, trying the area's food and wine specialties and touring historic sites.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We are close to everything. We're across from Clover Point Park where kite fliers and paragliders test their skills while hovering over the water.
Walk along the beach and explore nearby Beacon Hill Park with its acres of flowers, trails, lakes and a children's petting zoo. Stroll through the vibrant Fairfield neighbourhood to Cook Street Village and choose from among a dozen cafes, bistros and pubs to enjoy a drink and a meal. Check out the clothing stores, the book shop, the juice bar, the wine shop, the pharmacy, the bank, the grocery store, the organic produce shops, etc.
Every Saturday, there's a weekly veggie and artisan market on Moss Street. Up the street you can wander through the gardens at Abkhazi Gardens or the Lieutenant Governor's home.
Drive five minutes to the downtown core to discover its museums, restaurants, shops and tourist sites. Take a bus just around the corner. Drive 15 minutes to lakes, countryside and more stunning ocean scenes.
