Calgary is famous for its annual Stampede rodeo (July), folk festival (late July) professional ice hockey/football, fly fishing and kayaking in the Bow River and some of the world's best skiing (Lake Louise, Sunshine, Norquay, Nakiska) and hiking, biking, music and hotsprings in the Rocky Mountains.
