Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our Straw Bale House is a very comfortable house located in a village near the city Diest.
On the one hand it is nearby different nature reserves (ideal for hiking, biking tours,...), on the other hand it is a good base for visiting lots of cities and cultural acitivities (Diest, Leuven, Hasselt, Antwerpen, Brussel,...).
Adventurous and sportive people have excellent options: the diving experience in 'Todi', skydiving in the para training center, sailing and surfing on Schulensmeer.
We have a living room with open kitchen, 4 rooms (2 rooms with a single bed, 1 room with a double bed, 1 room for laundry and administration), 1 bathroom, 2 toilets. The rooms of the children have a mezzanine.
There is a nice garden with a trampoline, horizontal bars and a slide. Two terraces give you the choice where to sit in the garden. You are welcome to harvest in the kitchen garden and from the berry bushes.
During the months of July and August the street is a 'play street', which means that each afternoon and evening the street is closed for traffic so children can play safe on the street.
We do not have a TV, as we are used to watching everything that interests us on the computer (internet).
