We are recently retired education professionals, who, being fit and healthy are able to enjoy world travelling, rather than being tourists. Having been members of Homelink for over 5 years, we have been fortunate to have had many successful swaps and have hosted some very interesting short term visitors. Our 3 children have all left home and we consider that we are fortunate to live in a beautiful area, with our main home being near the sea.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our beachside townhouse.
Our townhouse has 2 bedrooms, a decent sized study that could be used for sleeping, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets and a large living/dining area. The living area leads onto a large enclosed veranda/sunroom. It boasts a lovely garden area and is very private. We recently (June 2015) renovated the kitchen and bathroom areas. We have a disabled shower and toilet, a separate toilet and an outside shower that is private.
It has a large pantry, all mod cons and a laundry/washing area. There is a lock-up garage and additional visitor parking space.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
In the immediate area there are beaches for snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing (Soldiers Beach) and fishing. Norah Head has great beach side cafes, a bakery and an excellent restaurant, as well as a sporting club. The area abounds in beautiful bushwalks and there are also lovely cycling tracks. Norah Head is close to the Hunter Valley vineyards, mountains, local beaches and easy access to Sydney and Newcastle. The Blue Mountains are only 2 hours away. There is excellent whale watching in season.
The area boasts beautiful coastal bushland with a variety of flowers and bird-life. There are many other lovely beach suburbs with excellent shopping and eateries in the surrounding area.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful neighbour in the adjoining villa, who is only too happy to welcome you and answer any questions, if she is not off travelling herself. Our street runs into a cul-de-sac, and is thus a dead-end. It is very quiet and all neighbours are very friendly.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We will leave your home in the condition that it is left to us, and we would hope to find that you would also leave our home as you found it. We do know a cleaner who can be contacted if necessary. We have solar panels on the roof that feed the electricity as it is being consumed during the day. Thus we would appreciate guests doing electricity intensive activities if possible during the sunlight hours - dishwasher, washing machine, ironing etc.
As we are so close to the sea, we appreciate guests ensuring that the garage and bike shed are kept closed, plus living room windows at night, unless it is too hot.
