Beautiful pole house set in rainforest, very light and airy inside, surrounded by 4000sq m of garden and an in ground pool. Close to walking paths and freshwater swimming holes.
Easy access to Great Barrier Reef with snorkelling and scuba diving options, or visit a coral cay i.e. Green Island. Port Douglas an hour of scenic driving North, swimming beaches along the way. Tropical climate.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our home is set amongst tropical rainforest beside a creek that runs when it rains. A semi rural setting it is a 20 mins drive to Cairns Central, beaches, golf courses, freshwater creeks and rivers and boats leaving for Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the outer Great Barrier Reef. There is are two supermarkets 10 mins away. Birds will wake you up and the moon will rise over the hill as you sit on our verandah in the evening.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
It is necessary to leave our tranquil setting to shop and have a coffee. There are two French patisseries 10 mins drive away - L'Orangerie at Redlynch Central and Le Crouton at Freshwater. Take the train up to Kuranda and the Skyrail back. Visit Tjapukai, an Aboriginal Cultural Precint and, of course, go snorkelling or scuba diving out on the Great Barrier Reef. Lie on the beach at Palm Cove or watch the fisherman on the jetty. Walk up nearby hills and swim in nearby creeks.
