Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We are situated in a quiet street in a delightful well treed suburb well away from the noise of traffic or commercial aircraft. The bird life is amazing and the beaches at Golden Beach along the Pumicestone Passage - a few minutes away - are safe and well shaded.
Kayaks, boats and catamarans are available in summer for hire to navigate the Passage or over to Bribie Island.
There are numerous surf beaches along the Caloundra coast which are extremely popular with holidaymakers.
There are numerous bicycle and walking tracks through Pelican Waters then along the coast northwards through Caloundra
Fishing is popular and day trips can be obtained.
Caloundra is a charming quiet seaside town with all facilities and is ideally situated to visit all the local attractions yet close enough to Brisbane and its attractions.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
We are located near to the Pelican Waters Golf Club designed by Greg Norman and which has a reputation second to none.
Caloundra’s Coastal Pathway is a breathtaking nine-kilometre stretch of paths, meandering along Caloundra’s beaches from Pelican Waters in the south to Point Cartwright in the north.
With sights such as a lighthouse, lakes, creeks and surf beaches cropping up along the Coastal Pathway, this scenic trail is a great reason to get out and about and explore Caloundra’s natural beauty.
The Australia Zoo, established by Steve Irwin, is about 30 minutes away, and is a world renowned attraction and very popular with overseas visitors.
Brisbane is only an hour or so away by motorway and has many world class facilities.
The Queensland Art and Modern Art Gallery (AGOMA) is situated on the river and catamaran ferries run frequently up and down the Brisbane River from the river mouth through the city centre and inland to Queensland University and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
The Performing Arts Centre (QPac), with its four main theatres, provides a feast of top entertainment throughout the year ranging from concerts to drama, musicals and ballet.
