Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our house is a large, modern country style house, set on 3 hectares (7.5 acres) of very scenic rural farm and natural bushland, kangaroos often visit the property. Arthurs Seat is typical of the peaceful surrounding country side with the rural hamlets of Red Hill and Flinders nearby. While also nearby are the upmarket Port Phillip Bay villages such as Sorrento and Mornington. Arthurs Seat is just 5 minutes drive to the nearest beautiful white sandy Bay beaches, with dozens to choose from, yet only 8 minutes drive to large fully serviced shopping centres. With more than 30 small villages dotted along both Port Phillip Bay and nearby Western Port Bay, there is everything from numerous vineyard restaurants to seaside cafes, art galleries, local produce stores and weekend local markets. The car ferry to Queenscliff and then the Great Ocean Road is 20 mins. away, allowing easy access to the world class surfing areas of Bell's Beach and the West Coast. Of course the Mornington Peninsula also boasts many excellent surf beaches which are very popular over summer (Dec- March). The area, being a summer tourist destination is spoilt for choice, with opportunites to enjoy; wine tours of 20-30 boutique wineries, bushwalking, mountain bike riding, horse trail riding, all water sports esp. surfing, swimming, yachting, fishing, swimming with dolphins and seals, camping on beach foreshore, golf, enjoying natural hot mineral spas and plenty more tourist activities. The area is serviced by an Aiport Bus service which can deliver you directly from Melbourne Airport, to within 10 minutes of our home. Note also, Melbourne our capital city has been rated for 3 years in a row, as The World's Most Liveable City by the Economist magazine.
