Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is situated in the beachside suburb of Anna Bay on the NSW east coast. It is ideal for a short break away from the cities with beautiful beaches at our door step. Our home is located 45 minutes from Newcastle and about 2 hours from Sydney. Newcastle airport is 20 minutes away. Our home has a newly renovated kitchen and an open planned kitchen and living area that looks out to the pool area. We have 2 double bedrooms.There is a 11 metre salt water solar heated swimming pool, a large BBQ area + external entertainment area in the back yard and a great vegetable garden. Our home has ducted air conditioning for winter/summer. We have Foxtel, Netflix and WiFi available. Terry and I have been members since 2008 and have experienced many wonderful exchanges both in Australia and overseas.
Our location is a great place to explore Port Stephens, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Our home is situated couple of minutes walk from Birubi beach where you can swim, surf, sandboard on the sand dunes, take a camel ride along the beach. It is a great place to watch the whales migrate up and down the coast or the dolphins swim with the board riders.
Terry has a vegetable & herb garden that you can help yourself to while you are at our home.
You can relax around the pool or take a swim in the ocean.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood has some of the most beautiful beaches along the eastern seaboard and we are the home of Australia's largest sand dunes. Birubi beach caters for all the family. It has a little beach for families with children and a patrolled surf beach for those who want body surf, use their board or paddle board. There is a cafe restaurant on the headland looking out over the Pacific Ocean. There is a skate park and childrens park next to the beach.
The local shopping centre is 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. There is an IGA store, butcher, pub, 2 bakeries, chemist, doctor's surgery, surf shops, takeaway shops, newsagent and petrol station.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The beach is a couple of minutes walk from our house. There is a lovely restaurant at the top of the headland where you can enjoy a meal or coffee and watch the surfers, dolphins and whales. Camel rides, sand boarding and tours are available at the beach. There are 3 golf courses, tennis courts, toboggan run, local pool with waterslide and 3 bowling clubs for those who like lawn bowls. Helicopter flights over the area are also available nearby.
