We got what we wanted in a nice appartment.
Wij voelden ons meteen thuis.
Gastvrij ontvangst. Wij voelden ons meteen thuis. Uitstekende locatie op fietsafstand van Adam. Mooie fietsroutes in Waterland. Zijn ook naar de kust gefietst. Gezellig appartement en heel vriendelijke ontvangst. Leuk contact met de buurman. Hebben ook van het balkon genoten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.
Position idéale pour visiter Amsterdam et la Hollande septentrionale (Waterland, Haarlem, ...) notamment à vélo grâce aux excellents vélos laissés à notre disposition par nos hôtes et au réseau illimité de pistes cyclables. L.’appartement est idéalement situé au centre d’un joli village aux maisons pittoresques et au calme campagnard. Accueil attentif à tout ce qui pouvait contribuer à l’agrément de notre séjour. Et quel plaisir de trouver à notre retour une maison impeccable, le jardin soigné, le chat content, et une aquarelle de notre maison peinte par Jeanne!
Amazing apartment in a gorgeous village
The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped. Lots of useful information & maps available. Sjaak and Jeanne were so helpful and made the cycling holiday such a success. We loved it
Lovely home!
Jeanne's and Sjiak's home is lovely and the region around it is like a "fairy-tale" landscape, which I explored by bike, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the sandy coast by car. I had a wonderful time.
Ilpendam: beauty, serenity and wildlife.
I received a warm welcome (with added bonus of helpful neighbour) to a lovely apartment in a pretty village in a beautiful area. Waterland lives up to its name, with many reed-lined canals and ditches, dotted with occasional woods. It is perfect cycling and walking country, with pretty villages and towns all around. Ilpendam has a shop, café and bus stops (20 minutes to Amsterdam). Before you arrive you should familiarise yourself with the OV (ie travel) chipcard system. Current costs are: 4.20 euros train airport-Amsterdam central station, 2.83 euros bus Amsterdam cs- Ilpendam (return journey to town therefore 5.66 euros). Remember to check OFF vehicle as well as on (go to Tramplein in Purmerend for refund when you forget). Bring mosquito repellent (you can buy window netting in many stores - check expatica website). ‘Huisvuil’ on the pavement is where you put the rubbish bin. And ladies: always carry 50 and 20 cents pieces for WCs. Then you will have a magical holiday.

L'appartement est très agréable, confortable et lumineux, dans un magnifique village très paisible, idéalement situé pour découvrir Amsterdam et la nature dans le Waterland qui porte si bien son nom! Et la pratique du vélo y est souveraine!
