Great house and surroundings.. nice garden. You can make a lot of walks around Holmfirth. Nice pubs and restaurants. The cities of Manchester, Liverpool York are within 2 hours drive

We had a really lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the country. The house was very comfortable and well equipped and there was a beautiful garden to relax in. There was lots to see and do, with beautiful walks from the house and trips by bus or car to visit local attractions.

Staying at Judith and Peter’s delightful house in Holmfirth was a wonderful introduction to Yorkshire . We could walk into the village and the hardest decision we had to make was which of the many restaurants we would visit. There is just so much to see, the Sculpture Park and the Miner’s Museum especially stand out, but just exploring the surrounding countryside was a joy. I can highly recommend exchanging with Judith and Peter as we returned home with many happy memories of a wonderful visit.

Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home. We really enjoyed exploring all Yorkshire has to offer, especially the many beautiful walks. Thank you also for both leaving your home so clean and tidy for us, and ours too for our return. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Holmfirth, and hope to return to Yorkshire at some point.

Our stay for two weeks in Holmfirth was for us a real relaxed holiday, we loved both cats and we loved the impressing peakdistrict where we made several hikes by foot. Also the extended sculptural park with the sculptures of Henry Moore and many other big artists was unforgettable. Every morning we started the day with breakfast in the garden and in the evening we loved to read in the cosy livingkitchen. The contact wirh Judith was very good!

We had a wonderful time in Holmfirth. The house is lovely with a beautiful garden and a nice terrace to relax. The beautiful old town is in walking distance with nice little shops, cafes and restaurants. There are many things to do in the surrounding and we had a great holiday. We did nice walks in the very green and hilly countryside. Also Holmfirth is a good location for a visit of the citys nearby for example York, Leeds and Liverpool (the football stadium is great fun). There is something to do for eveyone. The correspondence with Judith was very nice, easy and uncomplicated. We kept each other up to date during our holiday, so we had a very good feeling. We highly recommend Homelink with Judith and her family. They handeld our home with care and were good catsitters. We had a completely magnificant homeswap!

Great exchange, the house is in a beautiful setting, and Judith went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Good location for exploring the area.
