Tim y Thea son maravillosos!. Desde el primer momento nos han acogido y acompañado con cariño y ayudado a desarrollar con éxito nuestro viaje. La casa es espectacular, a la orilla de un lago, con emarcadero propio y acceso a Kayaks que te permiten disfrutar del lago en los distintos momentos del día… La comunidad en la que está situada la casa es muy agradable y acogedora, pir iniciativa de Tim y Thea hemos podido conocer a otros vecinos del entorno, con los que hemos podido compartir cenas y conversaciones, momentos siempre agradables y entrañables. El Lago Tahoe, el lago Spooner, Nevada State, son en lo natural esoacios entrañables que hay que visitar… ciudades como Sacramento o San Francisco, un poco más lejos merecen sin duda la pena. El entorno más inmediato como Penn Valley, Pen Grass son fácilmente accessible con las e-bikes, que hemos apreciado sin duda. Tin y Thea gracias de corazón por habernos abierto las puertas de vuestra casa y de vuestra amistad!. Any time you will be wellcome to us!.

We are just back from a four week holiday in Satnta Cruz Aptos. We exchanged with Tim and Thea Hood. They are easygoing and very nice people. We met them a couple of weeks before we exchanged and we had a very nice afternoon and dinner together. There house has everything you ever wanted and is clean and cosy. Although they were away from home for months when we arrived everthing was taken care off and we felt welcome and treated as if we where there only guests. Tim and Thea are very reliable and we would definitely recommend them if you want the best exchange ever!

In Aptos we enjoyed our 3 week stay very much in this nice and comfotable house in a beautiful and quiet setting. It was close to sea, mountains and culture. An easy arrival with a warm welcome basket, plenty of usefull info and well provided for the first day (and even more). We love nature and tracking and never had to travel far to find it. We even spotted whales, dolphins and sealions just at the Aptos beach. The car was pleasant and needed. The terrace and garden were beautiful. Adé and George

Absolutely lovely 'homey' home, with every conceivable thoughtful extra provided including a gift of 'Vegemite' (amongst other things) for us Aussies! Situated at the end of a cul-de- sac, the 'Duplex' was very quiet, ultra modern and backing on to a 'leafy' quiet 'birdy' piece of water which even had some Deer visit while we were there! It was further out of Monterey than we expected but still an easy drive for day trips in either the Lexus or Subaru provided, which we loved, plus we were able to travel the lovely coastline, and to Lake Tahoe, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks - a wonderful 2 weeks which we will never forget! Also, as guests, they left our home even more immaculate than my fussy wife left it - thankyou Thea and Tim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Hood's beautiful home and yard on the central California coast. It was a great location for "doing" Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur to the south and Santa Cruz (just a few miles) to the north. And once "home" again, their house and expansive backyard were perfectly peaceful and relaxing. We walked to the local beach, a wide expanse of sand, wind, and waves. Upon our return to Santa Barbara, we found our home looking as though no one had stepped inside. Thanks Tim and Thea for being such good caretakers and providers.

Thea and Tim are perfect exchangers...spent time settling us after meeting us....and returned to give us more time for fun together. ....finishing with a good old fashioned American County Fair at Santa Cruz. We have a great ongoing friendship ...all 4 of us with different perspectives. Trust we will meet up again, and compare life notes! (Sorry Thea...think I entered details of another exchange on your site....

Tim and Thea were the perfect hosts and we loved their sun filled home by the lake. It was a short walk to shops and the beach but we also had use of their car to travel further afield. Aptos is conveniently located between San Francisco and Monterey/Carmel so were able to visit both areas. Their home was an adventure in itself as you browsed through the photo books of all the places that they had visited whilst sitting in an African setting. The home had all the modern comforts and a beautiful outdoor setting. Thanks Tim and Thea
