We had a fabulous three weeks staying in Heather and John's comfortable home. We enjoyed being able to use the lovely swimming and the library in the complex. Their home is a short walk to Papamoa Beach and five minutes walk to the supermarket and two restaurants. Two shopping malls are a short drive away. We caught the local bus to Mount Maunganui Beach and enjoyed spending time exploring the local shops. We also enjoyed discovering the walkways.in the area. Tauranga is a great place to visit and I would definitely recommend an exchange with Heather and John.

I had a great time at Heather & John's house. It was very near to some wonderful coastal views and only minutes from Ohope Beach and the port. There is a lot to see and do in their region of NZ. Their house is very spacious, quiet yet within two minutes walk of a dairy and bakery. Local people are friendly. Thank so much Heather & John.

We really enjoyed our stay at Heather and John’s place. It was comfortable and in a very convenient location for accessing the surrounding places of interest. John and Heather run a small B&B so we had the very comfortable B&B accommodation plus kitchen and living areas with all the facilities we could possibly need. It was lovely to be able to spend a fortnight getting to know a small New Zealand town in the spring. There are plenty of shops and cafes. There are excellent local walks and viewpoints, a glorious coastline and nearby beaches. Probably the top tourist attraction in the area is the day trip by boat out to the volcanic White Island (weather permitting). The local fruit farms are also worth a visit. We had some longer days eg towards Rotorua and Tauranga, and an overnighter to the East Cape. It was great place to stay for a fortnight and it could have been longer. It was nice to meet up with John and Heather at the start of our stay to be shown around, and good to meet them again when they came here in March. Thanks to them for looking after our house well. it was a pleasure to come back to.
