Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la belle et grande maison de joëlle dans un quartier au charme du 19ème siècle. Les environs de Chatou nous ont permis de réviser l'histoire des rois de France avec les visites de Rueil Malmaison, Marly Le Roy et le domaine de Trianon à Versailles. Nous étions également situés au coeur des sites qui ont inspiré les peintres impressionnistes et nous avons pu suivre leurs traces, en cheminant à pied au départ de la maison. A very succesful exchange with an experienced and hospitable exchanger. A beautiful and newly renovated house in Chatou with very good connections to the centre of Paris by train every 15-20 minutes. From the moment we met Joelle, we had that feeling that we were going to be looked after. And we were. Her home is comfortable and spacious, bright and clean. We had a chance to meet before we left Canada and again spend a couple of days together on our return. Joelle is so warm, charming and flexible, you feel like you’ve known her for years. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We spent a few days in Normandy driving around the French countryside, eating moules frites and drinking local beer when the chance arose. We also had such ease getting around Paris especially with Joelle’s notes and Navigo cards. She made everything so easy for us it was hard to say goodbye to Paris.

We very much enjoyed our Chatou exchange. Joëlle's house is as elegant and comfortable as the photos promised. It was so nice to be in a peaceful neighbourhood, with lovely walks along the Seine, but also a twice weekly market and all required shops, and to be able to access Paris in 30 minutes, with a 10 minute walk to the Chatou / Croissy station for the RER A to Chatelet, or Auber, near Opera. We saw some great art shows in Paris, Manet / Degas, Paul Smith / Picasso and Giovanni Bellini at the Jacquemart Andre, ate some delicious meals and went to a memorable concert at the Théâtre des Champs Elysees. We also made some new discoveries, courtesy of Joëlle's tips and occasionally her car. We were quite overwhelmed by all the huge villas, laid out village ponds, green walkways etc. in the next neighbourhood of Le Vesinet. We loved St Germain en Laye, the Chateau de Malmaison, the only Alvar Aalto house in France - which is next door to the house of Jean Monnet, founder of the European Union, whose house we also visited (and cried about Brexit) we revisited Giverny, on teh first, cold, weekend of the year it was open, but discovered a new, warm, Museum of Impressionisms, since we were last there, and I finally got to the Musée de la Toile de Jouy which I have long wanted to visit. Still some more places to explore, we'd both be delighted to revisit Chatou. Merci beaucoup!

Joëlle Le Guen est non seulement une《pro》 de l'organisation mais également des échanges de maison avec Homelink.Elle possède une superbe maison, grande et claire, jolie et qui recèle un cachet unique. Elle a fait l'objet de toutes les rénovations (très bien faites) pour la rendre pratique, agréable et au goût du jour. La propreté immaculée des lieux doit être soulignée également. La localisation de cette magnifique maison s'avère parfaite pour visiter Paris, ou les régions voisines. Pour nous, le RER a constitué notre choix de transport et ce fut simple, rapide, la gare étant accessible à pied de la maison. Sur le plan du dévouement, Joëlle fut tout simplement une partenaire exceptionnelle . Elle a reglé mille et une choses pour nous faciliter la vie, allant même jusqu'a réserver nos taxis pour l'aéroport, nos billets de train Paris-Lyon, etc. Comme j'ai un handicap visuel, cela a réellement fait une différence énorme. Son accueuil chaleureux ses gâteries et délices pour les repas du soir et du lendemain matin, ses informations claires et structurées, nous ont vraiment impressionés. Nous avons également pu échanger à plusieurs reprises par facetime avant, pendant et après le voyage car nous en avions envie, et ce fut un plaisir. Nous lui attribuons une surnote de 15 sur 10 tellement elle a surpassé les attentes et pour son dévouement hors du commun...

We liked Joelle's house very much, it is a house full of charm, elegant, functional and immersed in a quiet and pleasant environment. The Seine is within walking distance, the island of the Impressionists, and many other interesting places full of history just a few kilometers away. Paris can be reached in 15 min. with the RER. A heartfelt thanks to Joelle for her great availability, for the rich offer of information and suggestions on what to see and how to reach it.

Wonderful super organised and clean house. Everything is done with care and love. Close to Paris but not in Paris (luckily). Very peaceful.

The house is immaculately presented and has a nice garden for el fresco dining or just sitting out and relaxing. Chatou is a great location for getting to the centre of Paris via the RER or getting provisions and also close to the Isles Des Impressionistes with beautiful walks by the river. No need to go into Paris at all, St Germain en Laye and Rueil-Malmaison have enough culture on their own.

Joëlle's house is 1/2 hour by (comfortable) transport from the center of Paris. But it is also an excellent starting point for walking in a magnificent environment. If I add that the villa is refined, and surrounded by a beautiful garden and that Joëlle is a cordial and communicative person, you will understand that we had a very pleasant exchange.

What a great exchange!! Joelle and her mother went out of their way to make sure that we had a perfect time in Paris, from the meal and little presents, the RER/metro tickets in exchange for the use of our car and the notes around the house. They came to our house 24 hours before we left, so we got to know them and Joelle sent us almost daily videos of what they were doing in Catalonia - brilliant! The house is in a quiet area, easily accessible to central Paris. Would thoroughly recommend exchanging with Joelle and her mother, Monique. À bientôt!

Un séjour parfait. Ce fut un superbe échange aussi bien pour la découverte de Paris et sa banlieue que sur le plan humain. La maison de Chatou est idéalement placée pour visiter Paris (accès rapide par le RER) mais aussi la banlieue Ouest (St Germain en Laye, Versailles, ...). De plus, celle-ci a beaucoup de charme. Nous avons eu de chaleureux échanges avec Joëlle et nous avons apprécié sa vitalité et son humour. A perfect stay. It was a superb exchange as well for the discovery of Paris and its suburbs as on the human level. The Chatou house is ideally placed for visiting Paris (quick access by the RER) but also the western suburbs (St Germain en Laye, Versailles, ...). In addition, this one has a lot of charm. We had warm exchanges with Joëlle and we appreciated her vitality and her humor.

Dear Joelle, thank you so much for this wonderful exchange during our second Covid-summer. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely house very much and loved the possibility to discover the western part of Ile-de-France. Thanks to your recommendation we visited hidden castles like Roche-Guyon or explored La Vallée Chevreuse with Chateau Bretueil, we went by bike to Marly-le-Roi and St-Germain-en-Laye, we enjoyed walks through the forests and parks with amazing views to the skyline of Paris or along the Seine and Oise - we never had a boring moment. Lots of delicious cheese and tartes and wine, relaxing in your garden when the weather finally became warmer, meeting the big cat Gio and reading books about Josephine and Malmaison. We had a wonderful two weeks stay in Chatou. We enjoyed every minute of it. It is a very peaceful town, and we went to the local Boulangerie every morning to get a fresh Baguette! We followed the impressionist painters from Montmartre in Paris to the coast of Normandy. We stayed in the castle Miromesnil, where Guy de Maupassant was born. We visited the beautiful gardens and home of Claude Monet, and also Auvers-sur-Oise where Vincent van Gogh painted so many beautiful paintings, and especially his last one ... The house of Joelle is stylish and the most organized home we have ever seen. The convenience of Paris nearby is terrific, we even went on bicycle ! We felt very welcome.

It was a wonderful to experience your furniture, fabrics, music,art and garden and get inspiration from how other people live[ you must be the world's most organised person]. Our 3 week stay in Joelle's home in Chatou Paris was the gem of our holiday this year. We found it a charming quiet location with the feel of a village but so close to the action of the big city of Paris and all it has to offer. The 19th century home had lovely character and provided very comfort. Each day we were delighted with the choice of either venturing into the big city for all the exciting opportunities or walking any direction from home to enjoy the pathways along the Seine or village shops and local Parisian cafes. Many thanks to Joelle who was so accomodating and helpful.

Joelle was a delight to work with! She guided us through our first Homelink exchange and made our experience easy and rewarding. Her home is a lovely stone Victorian with a huge walled garden in a quiet residential neighborhood. Paris is a short train ride away and the tickets she left for us were much appreciated. She took care of our home as if it was hers and she impressed our neighbors, friends and family with her positive attitude and friendly personality. She is truly a wonderful ambassador for the Homelink program.

Now I know why all the Impressionist painters came to Chatou to paint! We had a lovely 3- week French life in Joelle's home and village and would recommend this exchange to any lover of all things French. Chatou is a quiet "fairy tale" village, right next door to the vibrant Paris city life and an easy trip to many wonderful towns in Normandy. Joelle did everything possible to make our exchange comfortable and enjoyable. We loved it!
