Merci infiniment à Anne, Jens et Johannes pour cet échange très réussi. Leur très belle maison, accueillante, claire et colorée, est parfaitement située pour explorer tous les trésors que le Palatinat et le Bade Wurtemberg ont à offrir : splendides villes et villages avec maisons à colombages, architecture grandiose (la cathédrale de Speyer est toute proche), châteaux baroques ou romantiquement perchés sur les montagnes voisines, jardins immenses, musées passionnants (Beaux Arts à Mannheim, Gutenberg à Mayence...), nature sauvage (forêts infinies et montagnes) ou cultivée (la charmante Weinstrasse), les possibilités sont immenses. Une mention spéciale pour la petite ville de Bad Wimpfel qui domine le Neckar, le "sentier des philosophes" et sa vue magnifique sur Heidelberg, et l'abbaye de Mannhaus, complètement hors du temps. Outre des spécialités régionales que nous avons beaucoup appréciées, nos hôtes nous ont laissé de précieux conseils, une documentation foisonnante, et se sont toujours montrés disponibles pour répondre à nos interrogations. Si vous souhaitez découvrir une région moins touristique que la Bavière mais tout aussi intéressante, n'hésitez pas : la maison aux moutons bleus est un havre idéal !

Excellent échange à tous points de vue. Nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer Ann et Jens à l'aller, une rencontre très chaleureuse que nous aurions aimé prolonger. Leur maison est à leur image, conviviale et humaine. Nous avons été charmés par cette belle région du Palatinat, sereine et apaisante. Les habitants sont accueillants, et nous conseillons aux échangeurs Français de découvrir cet ancien territoire français méconnu. Merci à Anne et Jens d'avoir partagé avec nous, cet échange est un des meilleurs que nous avons eu.

We have had a wonderful holiday in the Pfalz. We enjoyed every day. Your house is beautiful and we liked the lovely terrace outside very much. The kids have had a wonderful time with the trampoline and all sorts of toys and games. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We appreciate it a lot. The surrounding was very beautiful. We loved the view of vineyards and the nice hills. We made many nice trips: Some walks in the mountains, of course we went up with the Sesselbahn and we walked the “sentier des roches” from Chateau Fleckenstein to Chateau Loewenstein. The view on top was marvelous. Our kids love to go to the swimming pool and the weather was very nice. We have been to Badepark Wörth twice. A very big outside swimming pool. We went to Kalmitbad in Maikammer. And we have been twice to Europabad in Karlsruhe. That was the favorite for the kids. With nice slides and many baths for every age. We enjoyed tours to Holidaypark and Kurpfalz park and on a rainy day an indoor playground Kids inn in Frankenthal. A day at the zoo in Landau an der Pfalz was nice. It’s a lovely tiny zoo where you can come close to the animals. And we made a day trip to Heidelberg. What a beautiful historical city on the borders of the Neckar. It was a special year to go on holiday in Corona time. Happily we could still make a lot of trips with some adjustments like face masks and keeping distance. We are grateful that we have had such an exciting time in Altdorf. We enjoyed it a lot and we can recommend everybody to go there. Our family spent two lovely weeks at Anne & Jens beautiful home in Altdorf. Their home is spacious, comfortable and we felt very relaxed there. The location is perfect for exploring the Pfalz region with quick access to Speyer, Neustadt, Wiesbaden, Heidelberg and all the other smaller towns around. Highlights for us included The Tech Museum in Speyer, the Rietburgbahn Chair lift, Heidelberg Castle and Old Town, Wiesbaden, Kurpfalz Park, Landau Zoo, Alla Hop in Edenkoben and the days spent in the local outdoor pool only 2km away. There really is something for everyone. The landscape is quite stunning, vineyards as far as the eye can see with the mountains in the background. There is plenty of outdoor activities to get you out into nature, which is a must when living in such a beautiful area. The smaller towns nearby such as St Martin are also worth a visit, very picturesque and pretty. We are very lucky to have exchanged with the Dolschner family, they were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We would definitely exchange again if the opportunity arose.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Urlaubswoche im großzügigen Haus von Anne und Jens. Die vielen Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung haben wir dank bestem Spätsommer-Wetter intensiv genutzt. Und nochmal vielen Dank für die Fahrräder- eine Tour durch die Weinberge war dadurch auch möglich.

We' ve spend 14 great days in Anne and Jens´ comfortable, beautiful and well equipped house, garden and surroundings in Altdorf/ Pfalz. Altdorf is a small village at the foot of the Pfälzer Wald with mountains, wine fields, pittoresque, litte villages and lots of possibilities for trips including possibilities for hiking and climbing and also for going to France! We borrowed Jens and Annes bikes, cause lots of bike pads in the area makes it easy to get around by bike to swim baths, supermarkets and restaurants, not at least the wonderful Italian restaurant, Vigna, in Venningen (sunset beside the wine fields!). Other highlights from our trip: The Rietburgbahn (lift to the most wonderful view over Pfalz), Speyer –with old town and Judenhof, Hambacher Schloss and Neustadt a.d. Weinstrasse (including the gourmet restaurant Zwockelsbruck), the Friedensdenkmal, Burg Trifels and cheese cake at Café Barbarossa, the French cities Wissembourg and Strasbourg; and old Heidelberg with the castle and the wonderful, old Bergbahn (lift) to Königsstuhl. Anne and Jens are wonderful hosts, who prepared our stay in Altdorf with explicit thoughts and care, and who also took good care of our house and cats in DK during the swap. Liebe Anne, Jens, Miriam und Johannes, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Pfalz, eine Gegend die wir vorher noch nicht kannten. In Eurem charmanten Zuhause haben wir uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt und Dank Eurer tollen Vorbereitung hatten wir auch gleich ein paar schöne Ideen für Unternehmungen. Unsere beiden Jungs waren von dem Technikmuseum in Speyer und Sinsheim sehr beeindruckt und auch für uns gab es jede Menge zu entdecken. Wirklich sehenswerte Museen, wenn man sich für Technik interessiert. Der Ausflug zum Dom, der uns architektonisch sehr angesprochen hat, sollte im Programm auch nicht fehlen. Da wir auch sehr gerne wandern, haben wir bei herrlichem Sonnenschein eine schöne Tageswanderung gemacht. Im Nahen Pfälzer Wald hat man viele abwechslungsreiche Möglichkeiten dazu. Neben dem Hambacher Schloss, gab es auch viel leckeres Essen in Eurer Gegend. Vielen Dank auch, dass Ihr unser Haus so perfekt gepflegt zurück gelassen und unsere Hasen so gut versorgt habt.
