From our house it is a
-5 mins walk to the Bermondsey beer mile - which are essentially local breweries under arch railways, over 1 mile
-10 mins walk to Maltby street market (open Friday to Sunday) which is a small street offering street food from around the world (a local's favourite), bakeries and nice coffee shops
-15 mins walk to Bermondsey street which has a range of shops, restaurants, cafes, bar, independent cinema, and others. When walking Bermondsey street towards the river, you can get to the Shard, borough market (a famous food market) and Tower Bridge, London Bridge, London Tower etc.
-15 mins walk you can also get to Southwark park which the biggest park in the area.
-Only 2 stops away using the underground, you can get to the O2 which is a huge concert venue and includes an iMaxx cinema and many shops and restaurants.

You can get anywhere in a relatively short time by tube (underground) as the flat is centrally located. I do recommend the bus though as it is quite scenic in comparison!
