We had to wait 2 lockdowns before the exchange could be realised, but this was certainly worth it! Wernigerode is such a beautiful, picturesque city and the central location of the house near the council square gives you the feeling of living in a postcard. In town there is enough to do, visiting a concert, climbing the hill to the castle, strolling through Wiltpark Christianental or the Lustgarten, eating delicious Italian ice cream or dining in a cosy restaurant. Also the surroundings offer something for everyone: a visit to the stalactite caves, castles or the mines, doing some of the hiking routes in the beautiful surroundings. At the end of the day enjoying the comfort of this pleasant home, relaxing and dining on the roof terrace. During al this 2 years the contact with Mary was very pleasant and hospitable. We really appreciated the extensive information and tips, the delicacies for the children and the attentions when we got home again. Thank you for this lovely and pleasant exchange!
