Située dans le village d'Oberrotweil au pied du Kaiserstuhl, la jolie maison d'Iris et Andréas est idéale pour visiter non seulement la ville de Freiburg, mais aussi tous les villages environnants qui font le charme de cette belle région viticole et plus si affinités (Alsace et Suisse). Nous avons également apprécié de pouvoir faire de nombreuses randonnées sur des sentiers bien balisés alternant vignes et forêts (Forêt noire) et de nous ressourcer dans le confort de la maison et de son grand jardin. Iris et Andréas sont des hôtes charmants et attentionnés.

Dear Iris and Andreas We want to thank you for a relaxing stay in turbulent Covid-19 times. This house is perfectly situated: one can visit the Vosges, the Alsace with beautiful towns as Colmar, The Black Forest and Switzerland - less than an hour drive to Basel. After we did this we wondered: what about the area around the house? And indeed: the Kaiserstuhl is amazing: hills covered with vineyards where one can wander for hours and relax. Strolling around, tasting wine, eating in one of the many cosy restaurants in the area: what can one more expect form a holiday? The house is large but comfortable, the garden spacious with vegetables we could eat (tomatoes, cucumbers) and Iris and Andreas even put a bed outside on balcony of the first floor, so we good enjoy the moon, the stars and be awakend by the birds every morning. A net protected us from insects. Iris and Andreas are very kind people: they gave us useful information, made us feel at home and the contacts before and during the swap were intense and warmly. Haus und der Garten haben eine wunderbare Atmosphäre versprüht, und die Umgebung, der Ort an sich und die Landschaft haben das Ihre zu unserem Seele-baumeln-lassen beigetragen. Der Empfang und Kontakt mit unseren Tauschpartnern vor/während/nach dem Aufenthalt war Spitze! Wir sind viel in den Weinbergen und nach Breisach geradelt (E-Bikes im Tausch inbegriffen) und gewandert, haben bei zahlreichen Winzern Weinproben gemacht und einige neue, herrliche Weine kennengelernt. Das wunderbare Strassburg ist in ca. 1 Autostunde erreichbar, und Freiburg (unsere Lieblingsstadt in DE) haben wir mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr besucht - etwas zeitaufwändig, aber es geht. Das idyllische Burkheim hatte es uns total angetan! Ebenso wie das allmorgentliche Brötchen-Holen beim Bäcker im Zentrum, was für einen Schweden nichts alltägliches ist!! Ein weiteres Highlight war das Keramik-Atelier für Skulpturen und Bilder, das unweit an der Hauptstraße liegt. Trotz des zeitweise "bescheidenen" (und offenbar untypischen) Kaiserstuhlwetters war es ein toller Urlaub und ein 5-Sterne-Tausch!!!
