We are Laura and Ewan, a nurse and a charity fundraising consultant, in our mid-fifties. We have a very sociable and friendly cat called Harry who would like to stay in the house with you if you can please feed and pat him. Our two adult children sometimes like to travel with us, but we would check first with our homeswap partner whether this was suitable.
When not working, Ewan enjoys watching rugby union, skiing and playing golf; Laura loves travelling, animals (especially cats), and spending time with friends and family.
We have completed over 60 home exchanges across the world since 2003 - so far!

Comfortable detached house in a historic village setting, with the world famous Rosslyn Chapel (as featured in "The Da Vinci Code" film and book), as well as a romantic Scottish castle and a 700 year old battlefield site in the village too. Lovely field and hill views from front of house.
Ideal base for touring Scotland and the north of England. Very close to the Capital city of Edinburgh - one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which each August hosts the Edinburgh International Festival of the Arts, and the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle. In December, there is a Winter Wonderland in the city and many events surrounding Edinburgh's Hogmanay - the 2nd biggest New Year festival in the World. It is only a 30 minute drive to the white-sand east coast beaches, and an easy hour and a quarter drive to the spectacular mountain and loch scenery of the Scottish Highlands.
We have a very sociable and friendly Tonkinese cat called Harry, who would like to stay at home with you while we are away, if you can feed and pat him.

The quiet village of Roslin is situated just 7miles (11km) south of the beautiful capital city of Edinburgh. In this historic village setting lies the world famous Rosslyn Chapel (as featured in "The Da Vinci Code" film and book), as well as a romantic Scottish castle and a 700 year old battlefield site.
Roslin has a small supermarket, a post office, a pharmacy, Dolly`s coffee shop, dentist, doctor, library, beauty salon and a hotel with a great restaurant and beer garden. A five minute drive to Straiton Retail Park can be found an IKEA, Costco, restaurants, three large supermarkets and many other high street stores.
