Hi, i am edinburgh born although lived overseas for 15 years (australia, belguim and ireland). My teenage kids are at high school playing lots of basketball while studying hard for exams! My wife originally from sydney works as a support teacher for special needs kids. I have work in a local bank (IT) and in my spare time i swim/cycle/run with tennis and golf in the summer.

1930 traditional home near to Portobello/Joppa Beach ,a suburb of Edinburgh with some views overlooking the sea. Close to the Portobello/Joppa Beach with beautiful walks along the coast. . The Portobello/Joppa Prom is nearby for walking/cycling along the coast to local shops. Also nearby nearby in Musselburgh with the oldest golf course in the world, Musselburgh Links, and also Musselburgh racecourse (horse racing) in Musselburgh walled estate of Newhailes House, a Georgia Mansion with beautiful grounds for walking.
The house is home to me (it consultant) my wife (support school teacher) and son 15 and daughter 13. The property has a extension to the rear, large open plan kitchen/ dining. In the living area is mainly used by the kids for Ps/4, movies games etc. Garden to rear with trampoline and deck.
4 Bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 singles), modern kitchen, and cosy living room with fireplace.

Friendly, quiet street with very nice neighbours, close to beach and prom.
Lots of walks nearby. With good bus/train links directly into the centre of Edinburgh. Or alternatively drive
East to access the beautiful East Lothian countryside, particularly good for golf enthusiasts, or keen walkers, castles and clifftop walks all within 30 minutes drive.
A short bus/train ride or drive to Historic Edinburgh, 'the Athens of the North', full of fantastic cultural heritage as well as brilliant nightlife. Regularly voted one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Edinburgh Castle is Scotlands number 1 tourist destination. You must also visit the beatiful Botantical gardens and Edinburgh Zoo is great for the kids - go and see the pandas. The National Scottish museum is a great day out, or visit the recently constructed Scottish Parliament building for an organised tour. Or why not a ghost tour of the old town.

From our house it is a short walk East to the beautiful Portobello/Joppa beach (5 minutes) with beachside cafes and bars, fish and chip shops and also amusements. There is also a fantastic brand new large soft play indoor area for the kids at Portobello if you have little ones, if they are bored of the beach.
A ten minute bus journey to the South of our home takes you to the shopping mall at New Craighall, with a good selection of quality shops many eating out options and also a brand new multiplex Cinema complex.
