The apartment is unique, full of art, and delightful! Our hosts' daughter provided us with lots of information about the region and even places to see when we left. It was a great place to start our Italian trip and get comfortable. The town is full of great restaurants, a cooking school, and fascinating streets (in the walled city). The region has much to offer, without being over-run with tourists (not in October, at least!) We were very happy with our stay.

This exchange was perfect for us. A lovely Italian home on a narrow cobbled street, near a beautiful Italian church and away from all the crowds and tourists. Locals spoke very little English but were so friendly and helpful that it was no problem. The area benefits from beautiful architecture , several local restaurants within walking distance and lovely cafes and independant shops. There was a public, outdoor swimming pool 5 minutes away and this was a good base for exploring Rome, Bolsena Lake and many other nearby attractions. There was good communication with the family throughout- speedy responses and very useful tips . On our return, our home was clean and tidy, our fish were fed and our plants were well watered. We would highly recommend this exchange and many thanks to Achille, Raffaella and Carolina for exchanging with us!

Chers Achille et Raffaella, Nous souhaitons encore vous remercier pour cet échange formidable. Votre maison est à la fois très belle, très grande et très accueillante grâce aux livres qui l'habitent et également au grand confort qu'elle procure. Les chambres sont formidables avec de beaux grands lits et beaucoup d'espace. Nous avons pu profiter pleinement des charmes de Tuscania et du Lazio grâce à votre documentation extrêmement abondante et intéressante. Votre région est splendide et riche en patrimoine, notamment tout ce qui concerne le passé étrusque très passionnant. Nous avons beaucoup profité du plaisir du lac de Bolzena, où nous nous sommes baignés régulièrement. Les villages situés autour du lac sont splendides. Et pour finir, les restaurants et les épiceries de Tuscania nous ont ravis! En somme, un échange absolument parfait de notre côté. Our house is located in Tuscania, a wonderful borough in the heart of Maremma Laziale, near Toscana and Umbria.
It is an independent flat and it is situated in an ancient mansion on a very characteristic road. It is a three-floors flat, and it's got two living rooms, three bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms.
Our family consists of Achille, Raffaella and Carolina (25, student).

Tuscania is close to Viterbo (and its thermal baths) and Tarquinia (both at a distance of 20km), lake Bolsena, Capalbio's seaside (one of the most beautiful in Italy) and several important archeological sites. At a distance of 85km you can easily reach Rome.
The area is a real open space museum indeed, and it's full of natural beauties. In fact in the immediate vicinity you can find the seaside, mountains, lakes and cities of great cultural and historical importance.
