Their lovely home is in a quiet area that is well served by transit buses - no need for a car to see all the main tourist sights of Dublin as well as dine-out options and grocery shopping. Preparation for our arrival were very thorough. We were each provided public transit 'LEAP' cards with a 'starter amount of stored cash value' - what a wonderful bonus. These are very experienced home exchangers!

We had a lovely home exchange experience with Martin & Christine Kelly. They have a very nice home on the outskirts of Dublin that was suitably described in Homelink. It was easy to communicate with them and getting agreement on all points was very easy. Their home is very close to bus & train transport to the downtown area and we enjoyed daily walks by the peaceful canal that is very close to their home.

We were first time exchangers in September of 2016 – and we could not have had a better experience! Martin and Christine Kelly were amazing. Their home is lovely, well appointed, comfortable and tucked in a darling neighborhood just a few minutes’ walk from the train station (and not far from the entrance to Dublin’s spectacular city park). Our party of five had plenty of room, great beds and nice bathrooms, a convenient washer and dryer and a beautiful kitchen. Supplies for a full Irish breakfast awaited us, as did printed information on sights to see in Ireland. Amazing! We walked to pubs and shops; we enjoyed spectacular weather and celebrated it sipping wine on the Kelly’s patio. Kelly family members stopped by to check on us, offer ideas for our unforgettable visit to Dublin, and even drive us to the airport. Meanwhile at our home, our neighbors and friends met the Kelly’s and thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end of our holiday we flew to the Los Angeles Airport, picked up our car – parked conveniently for us by the departing Kelly’s – and made our way home. We wish we were still in Ireland. Martin and Christine were so kind to us—guiding us through the exchange process, allaying our concerns and rolling out a red carpet that can’t be beat. We are so appreciative – and ready for more.
